An AI employee is not a substitute for your policies, your expertise or your accountability. It can mishear a request, meet a situation its instructions do not cover, or lack the context to respond well. Every role has a defined way to acknowledge uncertainty, capture what it needs, and bring in a person.
That boundary matters most when someone is upset, asks for an exception, shares sensitive information, or requests a decision with real consequences. No role improvises promises, approves refunds, offers advice outside its scope, or makes commitments beyond the authority it has been given. Who reviews the work, how errors surface, and how instructions change when your business changes are all part of the build.
